"drive-by downloading"?

Yes! Researcher found "drive-by downloading" on more than 6,500 websites hosting malicious code that redirected nearly 340,000 visitors to malicious sites. When a user visits a hacked site during which time the website looks for vulnerabilities in the user's browser or computer.



When a weakness is detected, the site can easily install a 'keylogger', which is a mini application that takes note of keystrokes made on the computer in order to get hold of banking and credit card information. These personal financial information are then used to access the user's bank account.

Fake YouTube?



A tool that automates the creation of fake YouTube Web sites that can be used to deliver malware and password-cracking services for sale.

YTFakeCreator

The tool does not spread the video link on its own. An attacker must distribute it via e-mail, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer file-sharing networks or CD.

IBM's Internet Security Systems said password cracking is also being commercialized and marketed as "password recovery" services.
